Professional headshots by job: lawyer, real estate agent, nurse, and teacher
Answer first: keep the same face, then add just one truthful work cue that fits your role. Use a restrained background, natural light, and a crop suited to the profile. A lawyer does not need a fake law library; an agent does not need a luxury listing; a nurse does not need a patient or a fabricated badge; and a teacher does not need identifiable students.
Copy-ready base prompt: Create a natural professional headshot from the supplied reference photo. Preserve the person’s recognizable face shape, age cues, skin tone, hair, and ordinary expression. Show [one role-appropriate setting or detail that is true of this person] with [realistic work clothing]. Use soft, believable light, a chest-up crop, and a calm background. Keep the result credible and recognizable. Do not invent a license, employer, title, award, client, patient, student, property, logo, badge, or readable text.
Four job versions: change the role cue, not the person
Lawyer
Prompt: Create a composed professional headshot from the reference photo. Preserve the person’s facial structure, skin tone, hair, age cues, and familiar expression. Use a chest-up crop, soft window light, and a quiet office background with a neutral wall or softly blurred shelves. Choose understated clothing that matches the person’s real workplace. Keep the image approachable and direct, not theatrical. Do not add a courthouse, legal scales, firm logo, bar certificate, case files, legal title, or claim that is not shown in the reference and true.
Keep it credible: an office setting and neat clothing can suggest a professional profile without implying a particular firm, specialty, seniority, or bar admission.
Real estate agent
Prompt: Create a welcoming headshot from the reference photo. Keep the same recognizable face, natural skin detail, hair, and age cues. Use relaxed posture, soft daylight, and a clean chest-up composition. If a setting is useful, use a simple neutral office background or a softly blurred, ordinary interior that does not identify a listing. Keep wardrobe aligned with what this person actually wears when meeting clients. Do not add a property key, sold sign, house, brokerage logo, client, sales award, transaction claim, or invented license.
Keep it credible: a real, simple workspace reads as client-facing without suggesting access to a specific property or a sales record.
Nurse
Prompt: Create a respectful professional headshot from the reference photo. Preserve the person’s actual identity, face shape, skin tone, hair, and familiar expression. Use gentle even light and a plain, clean background. If the person truly wears work scrubs in the intended profile, show simple unbranded scrubs; otherwise use their real professional clothing. Frame the face and shoulders clearly. Do not include patients, medical charts, readable records, hospital marks, a name badge, specialty label, or credentials that are not verified.
Keep it credible: avoid identifiable patients and private records, and do not let clothing imply a credential or employer the portrait cannot establish.
Teacher
Prompt: Create a warm but professional headshot from the reference photo. Preserve the person’s recognizable facial features, age cues, skin tone, hair, and natural expression. Use soft daylight, a chest-up crop, and a simple classroom-adjacent background such as a blurred shelf or blank wall, only if it reflects the person’s real setting. Keep the scene calm and the clothing genuine to the person. Do not show identifiable children, student work with names, school logos, grade labels, awards, or an invented teaching title.
Keep it credible: a quiet learning-space cue is enough; the portrait does not need students or school branding to read as professional.
Use one role signal and a clear boundary
Professional prompts often become less believable when they pile on symbols. Pick a single visible cue—a real office, the clothing you actually wear, or a neutral work-adjacent background. Then say what the image must not claim. This small boundary matters because a generated badge, firm sign, school logo, or medical prop can imply facts that were never supplied.
- Protect identity: use a clear reference with the face visible and ask to preserve recognizable features and natural proportions.
- Choose one true cue: select a setting or clothing detail you could honestly use in this profile.
- Set the actual use: choose a square avatar, team directory, staff page, or client profile crop.
- Remove false proof: prohibit invented logos, licenses, awards, names, records, and other people.
- Review at thumbnail size: check that colleagues recognize you and that the scene does not imply an unsupported claim.
Repair the result one decision at a time
If the image looks like a stock employee, simplify the role styling first. If the setting feels false, remove the background cue rather than adding more props. If the person no longer looks like you, restore the identity instruction and reduce changes to lighting or crop. Change one thing per attempt so you can tell which edit helped.
These templates are starting points, not proof of a professional qualification. Publish a generated portrait only when the person, context, and intended use are represented honestly.
